Provincial Government Announce Cost of Living Relief for Seniors at Torbay Common
On Monday, November 2, 2026, the honourable Premier Tony Wakeham and Minister of Finance Craig Pardy announced a one-time seniors affordability payment of up to $500, providing more than $64 million in direct support to over 130,000 seniors across Newfoundland and Labrador!
The Town would was both honoured and privileged to host the Provincial Government at the Torbay Common for this special announcement.
The Town would like to additionally thank the honourable Joedy Wall, our local MHA and Minister of Health and Community Services, Minister of Mental Health and Addictions, and Minister Responsible for Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services, for his attendance today.
