Notice to Residents – 2026 Storm Water Mitigation Project

The Town of Torbay would like to advise residents that construction has begun on the 2026 Storm Water Mitigation Project in the Lynch's Lane–Mahon's Lane area.

This phase of the project is expected to take approximately two months to complete.

For the first week of construction, traffic will continue to be permitted through the area. Beginning in early August, a full road closure will be implemented, as shown in the diagram below. The closure will remain in effect until the project is completed in late September.

The Town understands that this closure will cause inconvenience, particularly with the start of the school year. However, the road closure is necessary to ensure the project can be completed safely and on schedule.

Residents are advised to exercise caution when traveling through construction zones. Please follow all posted signage and obey directions from flag persons to ensure the safety of both workers and the public.

The Town thanks residents for their patience and cooperation while this important infrastructure improvement is underway.
