National Day for Truth and Reconciliation | September 30, 2026

September 30 is recognized as National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This is a day to remember the painful legacy of residential schools, listen, learn, and reflect on the ongoing journey toward truth and reconciliation.

The Town of Torbay recognizes the importance of reconciliation and encourages our community to participate in meaningful acts of remembrance, education, understanding, and respect.

We encourage all residents to wear an orange piece of clothing tomorrow in recognition and respect of this national day of truth and reconciliation.
