Forest Fire Season Has Begun

Forest Fire Season begins today, May 1st.
No open fires will be permitted without a permit, fires in approved fire pits are permitted as long as the daily fire rating permits: https://www.gov.nl.ca/.../forest-fires/fire-hazard-map/.

Municipal Water Update | Precautionary Boil Order Lifted | May 14, 2026

The Town of Torbay would like to advise residents that the precautionary boil order for residents on municipal water is lifted effective immediately. The mechanical issue with our chlorine injection system resulting in non chlorinated water entering our system has now been resolved and is operating under the criterion of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador Government Services.

The Town of Torbay thanks residents for their patience and understanding.
