Bulk Garbage Drop Off & Community Cleanup

Looks like winter is finally behind us, and many residents have already begun tidying up their properties. Now it’s time to come together and clean up our neighbourhoods too!

The Town will be hosting its annual Spring Bulk Garbage Dropoff from May 28, 29, and 30 at the Infrastructure and Public Works Depot. Pre-scheduled curbside pickups will take place the week after at a cost of $25 per pickup. To arrange a pickup, please email publicworks@torbay.ca.

In addition, the Town will be holding a Community Cleanup Day on May 30, 2026. This year, residents are encouraged to participate over the weeks leading up to the event to make an even greater impact in keeping our community clean and welcoming. The Town will provide garbage bags and gloves to residents who register a cleanup area. Once your cleanup is complete, simply notify the Town at recreation@toraby.ca and staff will collect the filled bags.

To register for the community cleanup residents can sign up through e-Services or email recreation@torbay.ca. Cleanup supplies will be available for pickup at the Torbay Common, Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., beginning May 11, 2026 for those who register.

As a thank you for participating, all registered volunteers are invited to a community Barbecue at the Torbay Common on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., along with prize draws for participants.

Let’s work together to keep our community clean, vibrant, and welcoming for everyone!
