Purple Day for Epilepsy | March 26, 2026

March 26, 2026 is Purple Day for Epilepsy.

Purple Day is celebrated on March 26 annually to increase understanding, reduce stigma, and improve the quality of life for people living with epilepsy throughout the country and globally.Epilepsy is a chronic neurological disorder, which affects each person differently, estimated to affect more than 10,000 people in Newfoundland and Labrador, over 300,000 people in Canada, and 50 million people worldwide.

The Town of Torbay is proud to recognize this day and we encourage our residents to wear purple tomorrow in support of Purple Day for Epilepsy. The Town encourages residents to visit Epilepsy Newfoundland and Labrador for more information about epilepsy awareness and understanding.
