Public Notice | Upcoming Weather Preparedness

The Town of Torbay strongly encourages residents to be diligent and prepared for the incoming weather tomorrow, November 4, 2025 and Wednesday, November 5, 2025. We encourage residents to visit our Emergency Preparedness Page for additional tips and best practise in the event of an emergency event.

Here are some important reminders with regards to the incoming weather system:

Coastal Flooding

• Stay alert for rising tides and potential flooding in low-lying areas.

High Winds

• Secure or bring indoors any outdoor items that could become airborne.
• Use caution when driving, especially over bridges and in open areas.

Heavy Rainfall 

• Check and clear all drainage pipes and gutters.
• Ensure downspouts direct water away from your foundation to prevent flooding.

Power Outages

• Charge devices and have flashlights and batteries ready.
• Avoid using candles if possible; use battery-powered lights instead.
