Public Notice | Calls for Expressions of Interest | Independent Commissioner for Public Hearings (Under URPA, 2000)

In keeping with Section 19 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000 (URPA, 2000), the Town of Torbay is hereby cordially inviting those who may be interested in being appointed as Independent Commissioners for Public Hearings on proposed municipal plan (and associated development regulation) amendments and the Town’s municipal plan review to submit a cover letter and resume to the Town for consideration which includes anticipated hourly rate and other expenses (travel etc.).

For those who are interested, please outline past experience serving as Commissioner in the municipal and regional planning context and confirmed understanding of the Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000, and associated processes. An Independent Commissioner shall not be a member or an employee of a council or regional authority in the province.
