The general public is invited to view a draft copy of the Town of Torbay Development Regulations Amendment No. 19, 2026.
The proposed Development Regulations Amendment No. 19, 2026, proposes to amend Accessory Building Condition 5(a) in the Residential Infill (RI) Land Use Zone Table, Accessory Building Condition 5(a) in the Residential Medium Density (RMD) Land Use Zone Table, Accessory Building Condition 5(a) in the Residential Large Lot (RLL) Land Use Zone and Accessory Building Condition 2(a) in the Mixed Development (MIX) Land Use Zone Table.
The purpose of the amendment is to provide a more detailed table on how lot size correlates with maximum permitted accessory building lot coverages and heights. Proposed text amendment details can be found in the draft amendment document and background report.
The public may provide any comments or concerns on the proposed change to the Town in writing before Council proceeds with adopting the proposed amendment. The Town of Torbay draft Development Regulations Amendment No. 19, 2026, and associated background documents shall be on display Wednesday January 21, 2026 to Friday February 6, 2026, from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, Town Hall, Torbay, as well as on the Town of Torbay website at www.torbay.ca. The deadline for written comments shall be 4:00 pm, Friday, February 6, 2026.
