North Pond Water Update

On Friday, December 19, 2025, the Town successfully began transferring water from Whiteways Pond to North Pond.

Without this additional supply, we cannot guarantee a reliable water source throughout the winter months. The transfer process is expected to take approximately 20–30 days to bring North Pond to an acceptable level.

During this time, residents are asked to avoid all pumping and piping infrastructure currently in place and to exercise extreme caution around both North Pond and Whiteways Pond.

Please note that the Water Ban and Precautionary Boil Water Order will remain in effect until North Pond reaches an acceptable water level.

The Town of Torbay would like to thank residents once again for their continued patience and support during this challenging time. We want to assure you that we are taking every necessary precaution to provide a safe and reliable water supply throughout the winter and beyond.
