Newcomer in the Community

"Torbay is a beautiful and growing town on the Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland and Labrador, just minutes from St. John’s. With stunning ocean views, a rich history dating back centuries, and a vibrant community of just under 8,000 people, Torbay is more than just a place to visit — it’s a place to call home.

Families, businesses, and newcomers thrive here thanks to excellent schools, active community life, and exciting local trails. Torbay combines small-town charm with quick access to city amenities, making it a truly unique place to live, grow, and belong.

On behalf of the Town Council and residents of Torbay, I want to warmly welcome you to our community. We are proud to have you here and are committed to supporting your journey as you settle into your new home!"

- Craig Scott, Mayor of the Town of Torbay
