East Coast Trail

East Coast Trail

The East Coast Trail offers over 500 kilometers of hiking along the eastern shoreline of Newfoundland and Labrador. The Trail is known for its breathtaking scenery and unparalleled view of the Atlantic Ocean. The Town of Torbay is an excellent gateway to the Trail, as it can be accessed through the Father Troy Walking Trail. For more information about accessing the beautiful East Coast Trail from Torbay, visit the East Coast Trail Website.

Father Troy Trail

An historic path which connects Torbay and Flatrock, this Trail is a fairly recent addition to the East Coast Trail. The Father Troy Trail travels along the edge of Torbay’s magnificent coastline, where lucky explorers can see whales frolicking in the bay, observe icebergs in early summer or just enjoy the natural beauty of the area. This Trail offers an unforgettable experience for both the novice and the expert, alike. For the avid hiker, the Father TroyTrail continues into the East Coast Trail. 8.7 KM (one way), 2 to 4 hours.
