Interactive Town Hall – #AskTorbay
On October 27th at 7:00 pm the Town of Torbay will hold it’s first Interactive Town Hall fielding and answering questions about Torbay’s 2016 budget live at www.AskTorbay.ca.
“We want to talk with our citizens. We want to have real-time conversations about our town, our taxes, where the money goes. We want to know what’s important to them. This a chance to work together to grow the economy while providing the programs and services the public rely on and expect.” – Mayor Ralph Tapper
The Interactive Town Hall is an invitation from the Town for anyone via Twitter, Facebook, email or even by phone to participate in an open exchange about issues facing the town for the upcoming year and beyond. The event will also be open to the public. Questions addressed during the Town Hall will be selected both in advance and in real-time during the event and will stream live via webcast.
“In the last several years, we’ve watched participation in budget consultations decline dramatically. We knew that in order to engage our people the way we want to and need to, we had to make a big change in how we do things. We are launching this new initiative to make that change.” – Mayor Ralph Tapper
